"tHe pOiNt" is the 7th-12th grade youth ministry of
Valleypoint Church. Our purpose is to answer "THE Cause" given by Jesus Himself to make deciples who make deciples. We encourage teens to;
GET IN!Attend the group and get introduced to new relationships, with peers and most of all with Jesus Christ!
GET GROWING!!Live life together, study God's word together, learn the G.O.S.P.E.L. and grow in our relationships with each other and with JESUS!
GET UP!!!Through Bible study, prayer and training find a place that God wants us to serve Him in this youth group, this church, our schools, and our families.
GET GOING!!!!Answer God's call to tell our friends about the relationship that we have with Jesus and try to get them to GET IN!

What's with the skull on our site?
The flag of Golgotha (represented by the skull and cross bones) was a
recognized marker and sign for the "Place of the Skulls". A place known
by Christians as Calvary. Historically it was tradition that when a
king defeated another land, the flag of the conquered land would be
displayed prominently in the great hall of his own courts as a reminder
of what happened there. Our King, Jesus Christ, defeated death and the
cross at the place of the Skulls, Golgotha. It is for that reason that
we display the flag of the conquered place on our website! Jesus is the
only One to have power over death and the cross making Him the only One
to have ever defeated Golgotha! Therefore with Jesus as our King, we
are the only one's that should display the flag as a reminder of what
our king did in that place! Christians during the middle ages flew this flag on their ships for this same reason. However, like most of the other ships of that period, these ships were taken over and stolen by pirates. to mock the Christians that they stole the ships from, the pirates altered the same flags to include bandanas, sometimes swords instead of bones, etc. and that is how the flag became known as a pirate flag, though it never started as one.
